This was an experiment exploring the embossing effects on cardboard. The ink marks created by the folds were visually appealing, but since this was primarily a texture study, I didn’t pay much attention to composition. As a result, the overall image feels a bit flat. Perhaps a more restrained approach—focusing the effect in a specific area, or limiting it to a single crease across the entire sheet—might yield better results.
I also experimented with two different image masks, using different types of paper. I’ve truly fallen in love with handmade xuan paper. It’s lightweight yet resilient, richly textured yet subtle.
